Black and White Wednesday - Baby Bumble Bee

We have only been home for just over four months, and I am sure that this beautiful little girl is wondering about all of the interesting, strange, and wonderful things that she is encountering every day. I cannot imagine what she initially thought of dressing up and going door to door, but in the end she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Our Baby Butterfly dressed up as a Bumble Bee, in ladybug shoes no less. She was a bit hesitant in the beginning as we started walking around the neighborhood visiting some of our neighbor's houses. However, once she realized that she was being given little "presents" at each house she visited, her excitement piqued. I still do not think that she knows what she was being given at each house, since she doesn't eat candy, but the experience was a lot of fun for us all.

Enjoy!

Black and White Wednesday

I have recently been playing with some high contrast photos, and have thoroughly enjoying the results.

We recently brought our daughter home from China, and she is such a happy baby girl. I just love her smiles and laughter, her personality just shines through the pictures I take of her. Below, is a photo I took of her tonight in the bathtub. She was playing with the bubbles and having so much fun. I have include two versions of the photo, the more sepia version and the B/W version. Personally I really like the sepia version a bit more, but I did want to include a true B/W for this post. Let me know that you think.

I hope you enjoy.

Week 12 - “Focusing on Angles” Photo Challenge!

I love this photo of the Ladybug. Lounging on our red chair. Being so close to her and taking the photo of her while upside down really does a lot for this photo. I hope you enjoy. If you get a chance, check out the I Heart Faces website.

Week 11 - Mar 15 - Bundled Up

Time for another photo, this week at I Heart Faces is "Bundled Up!" The image I chose is of my daughter enjoying herself in the snow. She is laying down, letting the snow fall on top of her. She is having a great time. If you get the chance, check out some of the other entries at the I Heart Faces website.

Week 8 - “Hands-On Fun”

This week's theme at I ♥ Faces is "Hands-On Fun." The photo that I chose is of our baby girl, just minutes after she became our daughter. We traveled to China in November 2006, and with us were my husband's and my mother who were so excited to become grandparents. In this photo, our daughter is laying on the bed, playing with her Nana's hands. It is a very tender moment that I feel very blessed to have caught on camera. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Week 18 - We Are Family

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is We Are Family. It took me no time at all to decide on a photo that fit this theme perfectly. In November of 2006 we traveled to China to bring our baby girl home. She was just 7 months at the time, a wee little one. One day while lounging together in our hotel room I snapped our first family photo, a self-portrait of the three of us. I love this picture because of how our daughter is gently reaching over to touch me, making sure that I am still close by. It is a very tender moment that I am so happy I preserved on film. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

If you get the chance, please head on over to the I Hear Faces website and look at some of the other entries.
